Disassembly and installation of pipettes

Pipettes, as indispensable precision instruments in the laboratory, play a vital role in liquid handling, sample preparation and life science research. However, in order to ensure the long-term stable operation and precise performance of the pipette, regular disassembly, installation and maintenance are particularly important. 1. Disassembly steps 1. Preparation: Make sure the work area is clean and tidy, and prepare containers for disassembly parts. Turn off the pipette power supply (if applicable) and ensure that the pipette is not in working condition. 2. Remove the tip: Gently pull out the tip on the pipette to avoid damaging the tip or pipette. 3. Separate the upper and lower parts: Depending on the design of the pipette, it may be necessary to press a specific release button or unlocking mechanism. Press and hold the release button (if applicable) and pull out the lower sleeve or assembly of the pipette. 4. Remove the piston assembly: Carefully lift or push the relevant parts on the pipette to remove the piston assembly. Be careful not to lose or damage any small parts in the piston assembly, such as seals. 5. Disassemble other parts: Continue to disassemble other removable parts as needed, such as springs, spring fixed caps, etc. During the disassembly process, pay attention to record the disassembly sequence and position of each component for subsequent installation.

2. Installation steps 1. Prepare parts: Make sure all disassembled parts have been cleaned and dried. Check whether all parts are intact and replace if damaged. 2. Assemble the piston assembly: Correctly install the piston assembly back to the lower part of the pipette. Make sure small parts such as seals in the piston assembly are installed correctly. 3. Assemble the upper and lower parts: Align the lower part of the pipette with the upper part and push it in gently. To press the release button or unlocking mechanism, make sure it is in the correct position and press gently. Until you hear a "click" connection sound, it means that the upper and lower parts have been connected correctly. 4. Install other components: Correctly install the spring, spring retaining cap and other components back to the pipette in the order and position during disassembly, ensuring that all components are installed in place and firmly fixed. 5. Inspection and testing: Carefully check whether all parts of the pipette are installed correctly. Test pipette accuracy and performance using appropriate solutions. If any problems are found, please stop using it immediately and check the installation process.

3. Precautions 1. During the disassembly and installation process, be sure to follow the instructions and operating procedures of the pipette. 2. Avoid using brute force or improper tools for disassembly and installation to avoid damaging the pipette or causing safety hazards. 3. When disassembling and installing the multi-channel pipette, pay special attention to the sequence of disassembly and installation of the piston. The piston can only be disassembled and installed when the lower and upper parts of the multi-channel pipette are separated.
