Long Island City, New York, March 15, 2022 — Opentrons Labworks, Inc. today announced the appointment of Eva Boratto as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors and Veleka Peeples-Dyer as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Opentrons, Boratto served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CVS Health, Inc., a Fortune 5 company. During her tenure at CVS Health, she led the integration of the finance function following the company's 2018 acquisition of Aetna and most recently managed the company's financial performance during a business transformation accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. She brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience as a financial executive with a focus on organic and inorganic growth, financial performance, insightful analysis, and enhanced accountability and transparency. Prior to joining CVS Health, Boratto served as vice president and member of the U.S. markets executive leadership team at Merck, where he oversaw the more than $15 billion U.S. pharmaceutical market. She also serves as a member of the UPS Board of Directors and Audit Chair.
Peeples-Dyer is an accomplished attorney and executive with more than 22 years of legal and compliance experience working in the life sciences industry, advising pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and other companies on behalf of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and global compliance matters. In addition to serving as strategic counsel to global life sciences clients at a prominent life sciences law firm, Peeples-Dyer serves as senior in-house legal and compliance counsel to leading companies, helping to develop and launch best-in-class products. Most recently, she served as chair of the North American Food and Drugs practice group at Baker McKenzie, a top global life sciences law firm.
